Bringing together researchers, students, and collaborators to advance ecohydrology
Who we are
Our research is a collaborative effort that brings together scientists and students from across UC Santa Barbara to understand how ecosystems use water and how that use is changing.
We unite expertise from the Department of Geography, Ecology Evolution and Marine Biology (EEMB), and the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, with key support from the Earth Research Institute (ERI).
Collaboration in action
Field campaigns at the Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve are central to our research.
Students from Geography, Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology and the Bren School of Environmental Science work together to install and maintain sap flow sensors, collect leaf-level gas exchange and water potential data, operate UAVs, and manage environmental monitoring equipment.
